Getting Ready to Glow, My Facial Experience

I was feeling the need for a good facial. My skin was looking a little dull and I as I looked in the mirror I could see my pores were clogged with those nasty things we call blackheads. I use good skincare products recommended by my esthetician, but sometimes we need that extra help to get our pores cleaned out and skin feeling refreshed. So I scheduled an appointment with one of the great estheticians here at the Skin Spa. This was my first facial here as I am a new member on staff. I have had facials before and know that each facial can be different so I was looking forward to a new experience. For those of you who have never had a facial or are new to facials here at the Skin Spa, I would like to share my experience with you. I was recommended to try the “Pumpkin POREfecting Facial” it sounded delightful, and since I am ready for fall this was my first opportunity to welcome the changing seasons. As I entered the dimly lit treatment room and heard the music playing quietly overhead, I instantly began to relax. After changing in to my wrap and climbing into the perfectly cozy bed, the esthetician came back in to the room, and that my friend is when I entered the perfect dream world. Now I don’t want to completely spoil the experience for you. If I gave you a play by play of the entire facial it would be like the  one person who has seen the movie before and is ruining the surprise  for everyone else. I am not going to ruin that surprise for you. Trust me it is well worth the wait, but those of you who have been hesitant to try a facial because of the unknown I will give you a brief synopsis. For a straight hour your face will indulge in being cleansed, steamed, gently extracted (it’s not painful!), massaged and of course the peels and customized mask! Oh I almost forgot my favorite part, the steamed towels, she used these to remove the Pumpkin Peel (but don’t worry it doesn’t really cause much peeling) and the mask. The warm sensation and smell of Pumpkin was a delight to the senses.  After truly feeling pampered for an hour I came out of the treatment room with glowing skin! What can be better than feeling good and looking good at the same time! What a wonderful experience it was and I have to say that after experiencing many facials over the years that the Skin Spa Estheticans are top notch! The story doesn’t end here though. The next morning when I woke up and looked in the mirror my skin was still glowing and it felt as smooth as baby skin. The products they used in this facial were amazing. I don’t always get this kind of response after a facial. It was such a noticeable difference that several friends over the weekend approached me and told me that I was glowing. Can’t deny it that makes a girl feel really good!
